Stainless steel 316 gas springs
Industrial Gas Springs Ltd (IGS) holds a stock of popular sizes of stainless steel gas springs which can be dispatched within three days from receipt of order. With the exception of size 4mm, all gas springs incorporate a release valve, which allows the installer to release gas until the correct force is obtained. Should too much gas be released, IGS can re-pressurise the spring at a nominal cost.
For long gas spring life where the gas spring is used in particularly corrosive environments, it is essential that the rod does not corrode. Any corrosion on the rod surface will be drawn through and damage the main seal resulting in premature spring failure. To ensure no corrosion takes place, these IGS springs are constructed from the finest 316 grade of stainless steel.

Applications: Ideal for marine, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and medical applications. A non-magnetic gas spring version is also available for use in the vicinity of MRI Scanners.
